Pieces capture is the simplest and most common way to take the upper hand in a chess game. In your first games, capturing pieces will mainly depend on your opportunism: if one of the opposing pieces stands on the chessboard, ready to be taken, taking this piece should be your top candidate move.

In this chapter, you are going to exercise your capturing skills and see which pieces can capture or be captured.
